Our cheese making and wine tasting experience is a wonderful way to connect with Georgian traditions. During this 3-hour session you’ll first take part in a hands-on cheese making master class, where our family will guide you step-by-step through the process of creating fresh Georgian cheese using local techniques. You’ll learn the secrets behind the textures and flavors that make our cheeses unique, and you’ll get to taste your own handmade cheese.
Guided Wine Tasting
After the cheese making, we’ll move on to a guided tasting of three family-produced wines:
- Rkatsiteli Qvevri — Amber, dry.
- Saperavi Qvevri — Red, dry.
- Saperavi Qvevri — Rostwine — Dessert / Fortified wine.
To complement the wines, we serve fresh bread, local cheese (including your own creation), and fruit jams and wine jams. Throughout the tasting we’ll share stories of our winemaking heritage, the history of the Qvevri, and the cultural importance of Georgian cheese and wine.
What to expect:
• Hands-on cheese making (step-by-step guidance)
• Tasting the cheese you’ve made
• Guided tasting of three Qvevri wines with food pairings
• Stories and cultural background from our family winery
On request, we can also arrange a Khinkali Making Master Class, where you’ll learn how to prepare Georgia’s famous dumplings together with our family.
